Picking up new passengers in nation after nation

You can let the Freedom Train pass you by, or you can get on board

The Freedom Train is coming, but the ride's not always free
The flip side of freedom is responsibility
You must be willing to fight for your rights and the hardest part may be 
Defending the rights of others with whom you disagree

There are always some among us who don't want us to be free
They want to dictate to us, tell us how to live, and what to believe
We've got to fight these powers, we've got to question authority
We've got to learn to think for ourselves, we've got to be free

Is it any wonder that when people see a chance for freedom 
They want to seize the opportunity
Is it any wonder that all around the world
When the freedom train comes rolling by, everybody wants to get on board
We want to be:
Free - to share our thoughts and beliefs without fear of persecution
Free- to learn the lessons of Life from any sources that we choose
Free - to criticize bad laws and government policies  
Free - to go where we want to go and to be who we want to be
